Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!!! We have been lazy today since yesterday was so busy. We took little bit to church for the first time yesterday and then as Lori said it we had to take her on the "baby parade". We started to church at around 9 and after church we went to eat with mom and then to her house, then we went to see Granny. After there we went to visit Lori's family, Sam and Dot haven't seen her yet. We left there and went to my sisters and then to the firestation to see daddy... we went to eat and then came home and we were all give out. Me and Olivia slept on the chase lounge until about 11, she woke up and ate about 5 ounces and slept from 12:30 to 6 this morning and then ate and slept til 10:30...... She was a tired little girl! I put some pictures of her in her little dress. Our friend Lee bought her this dress and it is the only one that fits her right now, it is a premie.... She looked so beautiful!!!

Dr Appt

Well I took Olivia to the Dr this morning for the 2 week, even though really it is 3 weeks tomorrow... Anyways she is up to 8lb 4oz and 21 inches long now..... she is a growing girl! She had to have her little heel pricked again and did not like it one bit, but I wouldn't like it either if someone was squeezing the daylights out of my heel... She got over it quickly after though so Mommy didn't cry with her. Then we went to the fire station to see Papa and as soon as he picked her up she was out like a light and took a good nap. So we had a big morning.

Also I turned 28 Saturday, Olivia is the best present I could ask for!! Jason let me go shopping for clothes and I am back to my pre-pregnancy size so I loved it. We went to see some friends on friday night and my Mom kept Olivia for about 2 hours so that was nice but we missed her!! I could not ask for anything better!! I have a great family and had a wonderful birthday!!

First bath

Well we tried to give Olivia the first official bath in her tub last night, her belly button finally fell off all the way in order for us to do it. It was interesting and she didn't like it to say the least but hopefully she will like it the next time. We are going to town today and going shopping for my bday, that is my gift from Jason I get to buy new clothes...... No more Maternity Clothes!!! Our friends Jenny and Dustin house warming party is tonight so Mom is going to keep Olivia this evening, it will be our official first time to go somewhere, but only for a couple of hours..... I am sure we will be calling and checking on her. I put her bath pictures above.... Have a great day!

Mothers Day

Addison Bishop and Olivia Saint
5-9-08 and 4-29-08

We had a big day yesterday. We had stayed up really late because of the bad weather Saturday night into Sunday morning so we didn't make it to church as we had planned but we finally made it to my Granny's house to have lunch with the family, It was great!!! Jason gave me my Mother's Day gift Saturday. I love it so much!! He gave me a charm bracelet with a charm in the shape of a little girls profile with Olivia's name and date of birth engraved on it and a charm with our names and anniversary engraved on it.... he also detailed and waxed my truck!! Love it!! After we left Granny's we went to the hospital to see Misty and Addison, Olivia and Addison had the first picture taken together, it was so cute, I added it up top. After we left there we came to my inlaws to visit with them and finally got home around 9:45, so lets just say we were give out! But I am starting to get used to 4-6 hours of sleep. But this is my first day without anyone here to help me so I am going to sleep when Olivia sleeps, speaking of she is asleep now, so I will update again soon......

PS!! Got my staples out Friday and it is amazing how much better I feel without little staples in my stomach!! You know they could use something else that wasn't meant originally for holding paper together!

Good Afternoon

Well I know I haven't updated this week so I thought I would. My wonderful Mom has been with me all week. Thank Good ness for Moms. I have been still alittle sore in my back but not so much where the c-section actually was. I do have some discomfort where my staples are but those come out Friday at 10.......YEA!!! Our baby girl was 1 week old yesterday and I can see her changing already. She is so precious and I could just look at her all day long. I know this isn't much of an update but its something. I am going to take a nap since my mom is here!!

A little update!!

Well we had an eventful day! We went to see Dr. Stewart at 9 this morning and he was inpressed with the fact that she is only 6 days old and she is already back to her birth weight which usually takes 2 weeks. Her jaundice level was great and he said that she is probably going to have that level all her life because that will be her skin tone........YEA, she will have that Olive beautiful skin like her Daddy! We prayed , well I prayed for that. He said that her grip is good and reflexes are great. So we were happy. We went to see my grandmother and then Aunt Melanie. Dalton(my nephew) is crazy about her, which I didn't think he would be since is 11 years old. He held her for 30 minutes just investigating her. He was looking at her little hands and feet and rubbing her little hair and hands.... I am so glad that he is like that, he can serve as her Big Brother. I want that for her, when she gets older she will need someone to protect her besides me and Jason. Well we are going to feed her now and get ready for bed.

Going to the Doctor!!

Today is the beginning our 2nd full day at home and this morning is Olivia's first trip to see Dr. Stewart. We are excited!! We have had 2 really good nights so far. She slept good the first night and even better last night. I know it won't last long so we are really enjoying it now while we can. Last night she was up at 2am and didn't get up again until around 6am. She ate a full bottle and was up for a minute and went right back out. One thing we have found out is she hates to get her diaper changed and really having a dirty diaper and then changing it is the only time she will really work those little lungs of hers. I hate to say it but it the cutest little cry you will ever hear because she just tries so hard to be loud and make a show and she just isn't that loud yet. Jason is really doing good. He is already very overprotective and I think he will be that way until she is 50 the way it is going. He could just sit and watch her all day I think. Yesterday he was really great, he took over and made me a little bed on the couch and let me take a nap while he took care of Olivia, I never heard a beep out of her. When daddy is around she is a quiet as a mouse and happy as a lark. We really didn't have a clue how much we were going to love this little girl. I mean we knew we would but I don't think we knew that it would be this much. She is just a miracle. I don't know how God makes something like that. He is truely a Awesome God. Nana and Papa came to see her yesterday. MawMaw and Papa Saint got to see her yesterday too and they don't want to put her down once they have her........I do believe this child will never want for anything because both sets of grandparents are absolutely head over heels for her. I wouldn't have any other way. Grandparents are big in my life and I know that it is a wonderful thing to have ones that love you that much! I have her sitting besides me in her bassinet and I have to take breaks just to look at her. I am just amazed that God let us have her and that she is just this perfect combination of Jason and me. Everytime I look at her I see so much of both of us. I fall more in love with her everytime.

As for me post surgery, I am doing really well. I still have a little swelling and soreness but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I can't wait to see how much weight I have lost so far but really can't wait until the Dr will let me start exercising again. My mom will be with me all next week and then Jason and I will go the the Dr on Friday for me to get my staples out so hopefully everything will go well with that and I will be able to drive and stuff again. I put some new pictures up, hope everyone enjoys them and We will keep posting....

at home

We got to come home today at around 2:30 and it has been a long day but I wanted to let everyone know that Olivia is doing just fine. She still has alittle jaundice but it is alright because it is a small level right now and also Jason has a skin tone that is a little yellow undertone so they think she might just be like Daddy. As for me I am a little sore still but moving around as good as I can since I had a major surgery for the first time in my life but everything is worth having my baby girl here. She is just perfect. She lost some weight which is normal so she came home at 5lb 15oz so she didn't lose a whole lot. She is eating really well so hopefully that weight will be gained back plus some. We take her for her first Dr appt on Sunday at 9am. Will let you know what the Dr says about her. She has been asleep for a while so I am going to see if she is ready to get up and let mommy look at her. Haha.
